What happened this month.

Karasgaon is the second programme, for a hundred children already past the line Roha holds. The ask from the ground was exact: raw material only, ₹120 a child a month, everything else carried locally.

The basket

Chana, whole mung, kabuli chana and shing dana, 250 grams of each, per child per month. ₹120 including GST, bought locally so the money stays in the village.

Who carries it

The local team, led by Shaila Craso, collects the baskets at its own expense and the families are trained to prepare the food and give it. We fund the food; they run the programme.

What comes next

The first measurement round follows the first month of baskets. Mid-upper-arm circumference and weight, child by child, against a baseline. The numbers appear here when they exist, not before.

For programme-level totals and cost methodology, see where your money goes, and the Project Karasgaon page for how the basket works.
